[Verse 1]
You saved me the seat by the window
I wore that old gold dress again
The cake’s on the counter, candles leaning
And all my favorite people came
You know how I like the room to feel
A little loud, a little sweet
Tonight I’m letting every good thing
Find its way to me

[Pre-Chorus]
Make a wish, take your time
Let the whole room sing it right

[Chorus]
It’s my birthday, it’s my birthday
Oh oh oh
It’s my birthday, it’s my birthday
Oh oh oh
Hands up, hearts out, let the good times roll
It’s my birthday, it’s my birthday
Oh oh oh

[Verse 2]
Your card says all the things you mean
I keep it folded in my purse
We laugh until the candles blur
And somebody sings the second verse
No big plans for tomorrow morning
No reason to be anywhere
I’m here with you, right where I want to be
With frosting on my hair

[Pre-Chorus]
Make a wish, take your time
Let the whole room sing it right

[Chorus]
It’s my birthday, it’s my birthday
Oh oh oh
It’s my birthday, it’s my birthday
Oh oh oh
Hands up, hearts out, let the good times roll
It’s my birthday, it’s my birthday
Oh oh oh

[Bridge]
One more year, a little wiser
More sure of what I need
Keep your arms around me closer
Save this night for me

[Final Chorus]
It’s my birthday, it’s my birthday
Oh oh oh
It’s my birthday, it’s my birthday
Oh oh oh
Hands up, hearts out, let the good times roll
It’s my birthday, it’s my birthday
Oh oh oh

[Outro]
It’s my birthday
Oh oh oh
